This buckle honours the African Bush Elephant, also known as the African savanna elephant. Clarified as “Loxodonta africana”, they are the largest land mammal in existence. Sadly, poaching has serious reduced the African bush elephant populations by nearly 25,000 yearly. Sadly, they are listed on the IUCN Red List as endangered and threatened with extinction.

Made from casted Zamak metal. Electroplated with 925 silver. Oxidized and then hand polished to a mirror finish to reveal a bright and contrasting antique look. Coated with an epoxy protective finish.

The belt bar accommodates both a 40mm and a 1 1/2 inch wide belt strap.
